MCSAP used a data-driven needs assessment process to identify its focus on both preventing marijuana use in teens and reducing drug overdose deaths as a county-wide coalition. Since formation, the coalition has diversified its funding base to also include Partnerships for Success II funding, which targets prescription drug abuse and supports MCSAP’s emphasis on reducing drug overdose deaths.
