Governance Data & Evaluation Committee

The Data & Evaluation Committee is responsible for identifying and collecting data sources, both qualitative and quantitative. The Committee has 1-2 chairs who also sit on the Executive Committee.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Assists with identifying population demographics and epidemiology so as to inform the activities of the coalition membership
  • Collaborates with the Policy & Strategic Implementation Committee to research best practices for prevention strategies and promotes use of such with larger coalition
  • Collaboratively develops and implements an evaluation plan with an evaluator (if applicable)

The Priorities

MCSAP addresses policies, practices and programs in our two current priority areas: marijuana use among youth and fatal drug overdose, with a particular emphasis on prescription drugs.
